Rescuing God's Heart: Jesus' Triumph in the Old Covenant
As I contemplate Jeremiah 2:5, it becomes evident that God's heart bore deep sorrow during the era of the Old Covenant. His yearning to establish an intimate connection with His children, particularly the Israelites, was unmistakable.
I often find myself wondering about God's remarkable affection for Israel. He is, after all, the Creator of the entire world, with its diverse nations, landscapes, and more. Nonetheless, He persistently showered His love and protection upon Israel, only for them to turn to the worship of other deities.
Consider this: Imagine investing your heart and soul into creating something, only to have that creation acknowledge someone else. Think about a project into which you poured your utmost passion, yet someone else receives the credit. Undoubtedly, it's a profoundly painful experience.
Now, fast-forward to today, within the context of the New Covenant. God no longer harbors sorrow or bitterness towards us, and we owe it all to Jesus' sacrifice on the cross! It's truly remarkable how God's frustration with humanity led to the decision to send Jesus as the atonement for our sins. Praise the Lord!
Jesus accomplished it all!
What's truly astonishing about our God is that, despite His frustration, He offered us a path to reconciliation. However, there remain some 'Pharisees' or Christians bound by legalism who obstruct this truth for those earnestly seeking God. Even within the Christian community, there are those who believe they are faultless and pass judgment on others for different sins. They perpetuate misconceptions about God, portraying Him as a stern judge who demands amends before blessing or forgiveness. But here's the incredible truth: every one of us on this Earth is already forgiven! Our task is simple—believe in and accept Jesus as our personal Lord and Savior, securing our eternal destination in Heaven with Jesus by our side.
Yes, just welcome Jesus as your personal Lord and Savior, and you'll find safety in Him. The Holy Spirit will continue to work within you, just as He does in my life.
I'm firmly convinced that I'm not here writing this blog by my own merit; rather, it's the Holy Spirit's desire to share His message through my life.
I've spent 52 years on this Earth, and now I can wholeheartedly declare that accepting Jesus as my personal Lord and Savior was the BEST DECISION of my life. I can't envision a day without Him, whether it's starting or ending my day without Him at the forefront of my thoughts. Because, you see, Jesus is life! He came to grant us life and enable us to live it abundantly!
Certainly, I still face fears, struggles, challenges, and financial setbacks in my life. However, I believe these experiences serve as nourishment for my soul, drawing me closer to Him and allowing me to understand Him better as my provider, redeemer, and healer. Just speak the word 'JESUS,' and miracles begin to unfold.
He has rescued and redeemed me on numerous occasions.
I reckon this blog has grown extensive for today.
God bless, and let's reconnect soon. Stay tuned for more!
