The Treasure Hunt

My heart sings with gladness with God's promises.
Oh Lord. Thank You for being with me in this life's exciting journey.
How will I make it without You by my side?

God is the one who saves me. I trust him. I am not afraid.

—Isaiah 12:2 (ICB)

Did you know that you are on a treasure hunt? It’s not a hunt for a prize, a bag of candy, or even a pirate’s chest full of gold. It’s a hunt for Me. I am the Treasure. I’ve given you the map of My Holy Word to follow, and I’ve given you My Spirit to guide you.

The road you must take is not an easy one, but the Treasure is worth it! All along the way, I’m waiting to give you jewels of blessings. Hardships are part of the journey too—just as they are with any great adventure. But don’t be afraid; I’m with you. I will give you strength, and I will fill your heart with a joy that will make you sing. And at the end of your journey is the greatest treasure of all—eternity with Me!

Psalm 27:8; 2 Corinthians 4:7

Heaven Hears, Hell Obeys

Heaven Hears, Hell Obeys!
By Joseph Prince

The Bible records for us that Joshua, in the sight of the Israelites, said, “Sun, stand still over Gibeon; and Moon, in the Valley of Aijalon.” And miraculously, “the sun stood still, and the moon stopped, till the people had revenge upon their enemies” (Joshua 10:12–13).

What awesome authority and power in the mouth of a man! The Bible adds that “there has been no day like that, before it or after it, that the Lord heeded the voice of a man; for the Lord fought for Israel” (Joshua 10:14).

Now, why did Joshua’s words carry so much authority and why did the Lord heed his voice? I believe that it had something to do with the fact that Joshua meditated on the Scriptures day and night as instructed by the Lord right at the start of his leadership (Joshua 1:8).

My friend, power in your mouth or words comes not by you raising your fist or voice, but by you meditating regularly on God’s Word. For example, when you meditate often on God’s promises regarding healing, faith comes alive in your heart, and that sickness or disease will have to leave when you say, “Get out!”

The more you meditate on the Lord’s grace and His promises, the more they’ll become real to you until faith is effortless. Then, like Joshua, when you speak, heaven hears and hell obeys!

Run To Me - Jesus

Okay my Lord.
I will choose to trust You over my worries.
Thank You for your assurance.

Run to Me

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea.

—Psalm 46:2

There are so many things to worry about. Did you study enough for the big test? Did your friend really mean that? Why can’t you seem to make your parents understand?

Worry makes you afraid and anxious. But you have a choice, and it’s a choice that you will have to make a thousand times every day. You must choose whether to trust Me or to worry. Choose to trust Me, and I will trade your fear for My Peace. Every time you choose Me over worry, I will give you even more of My Peace.

You will never run out of things to worry about. Choose to run to Me instead—I will never run out of Peace.
